Dear The Settlers Online Community,

Today marks a historic date for The Settlers Online. After 15 long and eventful years, Ubisoft Düsseldorf is handing over the reins to CipSoft, a new, trusted partner who will continue operating and developing the game.

This is a bittersweet moment for us, as The Settlers Online has and will always be a very special game for us. Its launch back in 2010 was a huge milestone for our studio and has had a significant impact on our growth and success.

Just as importantly, it kickstarted an exciting journey which we embarked on together with all of you, The Settlers Online community. Together, we made tons of great memories, engaged in inspiring discussions and – last, but certainly not least - played The Settlers Online. We are incredibly grateful for having experienced so many great moments with you both inside and outside the game.

However, the time has come for us to pass the torch to a new partner. We want to see the game grow further and evolve, and there is no doubt for us that CipSoft will be up more than to the task.

This journey is far from over! We’d be thrilled if you could show our friends at CipSoft the same openness that has characterized our time together. We’ll be proudly watching from the sidelines, knowing that you and CipSoft will work together and allow The Settlers Online to reach new heights.

Dear settlers,
The following activities may currently lead to unforeseen issues.

• Opening guild festival packages leads to the Locked Zone Update: this issue was fixed in the 22/01/25 update.

• Sending out General Brohman can remove recruit mercenaries from the starmenu

To avoid this security lockdown, we ask you not to send General Brohman on adventures at the moment!

As soon as a solution has been implemented, you can send General Brohman as usual.
If you already have a locked zone, it will be automatically fixed by a nightly script.

Dear Settlers,
Now that the vast majority of our players have successfully migrated their Facebook accounts to our Ubisoft Connect accounts, we will be fully deactivating the option to log in via Facebook by removing the option on our websites.

Since January 2023, we've provided a migration system to move those who still used Facebook over to Ubisoft Connect. If you want to return to the game and originally used a Facebook account, or have any issues relating to migrating an account, please don't hesitate to contact our Support Team!
